Factory Reset an iPhone

If you want to sell your iPhone, enhance its performance, or discover your iPhone corrupted, you can quickly reset it to factory settings using the step-by-step procedure below.

However, a factory reset of your iPhone will delete all of your iPhone applications, files, and essential data, restoring it to its original state. As a result, before beginning the iPhone factory reset, always backup your iPhone so that all of your data is secure and can be recovered. You may quickly backup your iPhone to iCloud by doing the following:

  • Select your name in the Settings app of your iPhone.
  • Then select iCloud and, under iCloud Backup, select Back up immediately.
  • You may also immediately backup your iPhone to your PC using iTunes by clicking the backup button.

Now that your iPhone is fully prepared for a factory reset, follow the steps below to simply reset it to factory mode on both your iPhone and PC in just a few minutes:

  • Navigate to the iPhone Settings app.
  • Click the General tab from the options menu.
  • Scroll down and pick the Reset tab, followed by the Reset All Content and Settings bar.
  • A warning box with the words "Erase iPhone" in red will appear.
  • Simply hit Erase iPhone and authenticate with your Apple ID password.
  • Your initial screen set up will show within 5 minutes.
