The Australian Government provides the next generation of global leaders in developing nations with the esteemed Australia Awards scholarships. - Food security and agriculture

Eligibility Requirements
Candidates from qualifying African nations must also fulfill the following criteria in addition to the normal eligibility requirements:- As of February 1, 2025, be at least 25 years old.
- Must have worked in a field related to their degree for a minimum of five years after graduation.
- Be a citizen of Algeria, Benin, Botswana, Côte d'Ivoire, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Egypt,
- Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, or Zimbabwe; unless employed by an African Regional Organisation or on a diplomatic mission for their home country; and reside in and apply for the scholarship from their country of citizenship.
- Not now holding a Master's degree or its equivalent (master's degree equivalent in native country).
- Have an undergraduate degree already (equivalent to an undergraduate degree in Australia).
- Have never before been awarded a long-term Australia Award.
- Attain an internet-based TOEFL score of at least 84, with a minimum of 21 in all subtests, or a PTE
- Academic overall score of 58 with no communicative skill score less than 50, or an IELTS minimum
- English language proficiency of at least 6.5 with no band less than 6.0. Scores have to be good till January 1, 2025. (Excluding applicants who have completed their schooling in English and speak English as their first language).
Australia Awards Scholarships
Australia Awards scholarships are available for as long as it takes the recipient to finish the academic program required by the Australian educational institution, including any required pre-training. Awards winners will get the following:- Return air ticket
- Complete tuition fees contribution to living expenses a one-time establishment allowance upon arrival
- Undergraduate academic program overseas student health insurance for the term of the scholarship.
- Extra academic support fieldwork allowance for research students and master by coursework with a required fieldwork component.
